turnouts in citywide elections. Ever wonder why? Various excuses:

 ASK YOURSELF: WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT THIS:

'I don't need to vote because term limits ensure there'll be turnover.'

(But how do you control or influence something by ignoring it?)

'My single vote won’t change anything, therefore elections are a waste of time, energy and money.

(What about that weird-looking guy over there: whodyathink he's gonna vote for?)

'Politics, politicians and the political process are vulgar, low-class and boring; I can't be bothered.'

(Maybe they're all counting on you not being bothered.)

'Politicians can and should never be trusted.'

(Okay but that should never keep you from voting.)

'Too Damn Busy: work, childcare, transportation issues.'

(Nobody ever explained to you that voting's a civic duty?) 

'No one could ever adequately represent my views.'

(Well that MIGHT BE a valid reason not to vote.) 

'I'm suffering from (Candidate's Lastname) Derangement Syndrome.'

(Okay, you win: Stay the 'F' Home.) ##
